In Russia, Max Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton stood together on the top two steps of the podium for the eighth time this season. Four times of that Verstappen stood there as the winner, as many as his big title rival. According to David Coulthard, we are going to see this battle for the title until the final race in Abu Dhabi.

Inside Hamiltons head

The former Formula One driver is a guest on the programme Sport und Talk aus dem Hangar-7 on the Austrian ServusTV, where he reveals his enthusiasm about the current battle for the world title. "You shouldn't be surprised that of all drivers, these two are fighting for the title. I am convinced that it will continue like this until the end of the season in Abu Dhabi."
When two drivers are so close to each other, the psychological game also becomes important. "I don't think Verstappen can get into Lewis's head," Coulthard reflects. "They both have such a strong team behind them, they know they can win races at any time. That breeds an awful lot of confidence."

Hamilton and Verstappen very different

According to Coulthard, Verstappen and Hamilton are very different. "Those two guys lead their lives completely differently. Lewis flew straight from Monza to New York for the Met Gala. Max spent his time privately in Monaco with the family. They are so different. Max likes to keep to himself, Lewis is more extroverted." In one respect, however, the two title rivals are similar. "When they're on the track, it's just about winning."
