Hulkenberg says Renault have "come a long way" ahead of F1 2019 season

Nico Hulkenberg has been with Renault since 2017 and has been a crucial part to their development, being their main points scorer last season, when the team secured fourth place in the Constructors’ Championship.
Renault released their new car earlier on Tuesday, and Hulkenberg will be joined by Daniel Ricciardo for the new season.
Ricciardo will provide a huge test for the German, but Hulkenberg swept aside Carlos Sainz last year, so is more than capable of competing with the seven-time Grand Prix winner.
Hulkenberg says that the aim for Renault in 2019 is to keep the same trend of improvement, and who knows where they could end up if he’s right!
He said in Renault’s press release: “As a team, we’ve developed a lot since the start of 2017 and that’s all part of the process if we want to achieve our long-term targets.

“When I arrived, the infrastructure was still young, we’ve come a long way since then with a lot of progress.
“I want to extract the best from myself and maximise the potential from the team and the car.
“The important thing is, as a team, we take a good leap forward and perform better consistently. We want the trend to continue upwards and keep the developments coming.”
