Renault's
Nico Hulkenberg has several questions about
Max Verstappen's spin in qualifying, asking whether Red Bull has a party mode too.
Verstappen was expected to have a good weekend, but his spin in qualifying broke his car, meaning he had to start from P15. Verstappen said that he spun because his car suddenly had 150 bhp more, causing him to oversteer. Hulkenberg questions this statement.
"I'd like to know where that extra 150 horsepower came from," Hulkenberg said on Verstappen's incident.
"Does he have a party mode too?
"I've never experienced anything like that."
Hulkenberg finished 6th in Bahrain, and Verstappen retired from the race after five laps.
"Let me phrase it like this; it sounds very strange to me."
Red Bull will look to bounce back in Shanghai, with the team having both cars retired in the first few laps in Bahrain. Verstappen broke his car by bumping into Lewis Hamilton, and Daniel Ricciardo's power went out after two laps. No points for the Bulls.
