How do Verstappen, Leclerc and Sainz feel about track limits in Austria?

Besides the absolute dominance of Max Verstappen and Red Bull Racing, the Austrian Grand Prix was marked by the number of track limits crossed. The FIA received a total of 1,200(!) reports from drivers who had crossed the white line with three or four tyres. Max Verstappen, Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz discussed the problem during the post-qualifying press conference.

"The problem is that it could easily be solved by putting gravel next to the curbs, but as I said, the MotorGP does not want that. Then this circuit in general, as we said before, is just more difficult to judge the limit of the circuit," reigning world champion Verstappen told reporters.

Leclerc says he does not see much of the track limits limit. "The white line is only visual, and as we said before, we cannot see, so it is very easy to get five centimetres outside the white line. With curbs, you can feel where you are, and it is a bit easier to judge," said the Monegasque Ferrari driver.

Sainz also calls for changes: "I think what we have seen today [Friday], with so many laps being removed and so many drivers being caught. So many laps that even they [the stewards] couldn't keep up. We have to find a way to correct it and we are going to sit around the table. Hopefully, it will be sorted out for next year," the Spaniard told reporters.
