After the parade in Spain, the Belgian Grand Prix was the second race in a row that could not provide much spectacle. No surprise, according to Christian Horner, who was disappointed by the lack of strategic variation.
The Belgian Grand Prix once again saw the entire summit opt for a one-stop strategy. Pirelli's tyres are not good for chasing other cars, so getting into traffic with a new set of tyres is not something teams like to choose. So saving the tyres is the motto, which according to Red Bull Racing's team boss makes for boring races.

Horner wants more options on Sunday

''A one-stop race is always boring. You have to have two to three stop races, so that the rankings and strategies are mixed. Now everyone saves their tyres because they don't want to go in. You need more variety in the strategic choices, so that there are also more differences per car'', says Horner in an online press release from Red Bull.
According to Horner, it's not necessarily about choosing softer tyres for the next race. ''We need to ensure that there are different options with the strategy for each race. Now everyone chooses a single stop and that's just never going to make for an exciting race'', concludes Horner.
