It was an eventful day for Max Verstappen in front of his home crowd at the Zandvoort circuit. During FP1 his gearbox broke, so he had to work hard in FP2. Christian Horner tells how the situation is now.

Verstappen's balance not right yet

After the second practice session of the Dutch GP, Red Bull Racing team boss Horner spoke to Viaplay: "He lost drive, so we changed the gearbox. The mechanics did a great job. All is okay. We’re just a bit behind on track time. He [Verstappen] was not happy with the set-up, so there’s enough work to do tonight."
According to Horner, the so-called lost track time is crucial: "Tracktime is important. Sometimes results of simulators are not accurate, so then you miss the real experience."
