Red Bull Racing are in form. They've won the last three races and already have four wins this season, which is more than Mercedes this season. Max Verstappen's team is clearly one of the favourites to win the world title this season and Christian Horner agrees, although he is still keeping an open mind.
"There is very little difference between our car and Mercedes' car, but I think strategically we were better in this race," Horner explained to The Telegraph. In 2018 and 2019, Lewis Hamilton won the French Grand Prix by a margin, during the period when Mercedes was clearly the dominant force in Formula One.

From a boring race, to an exciting and thrilling one

That period has now clearly come to an end, Horner observes. "It's fantastic that we are winning here, at a circuit where Mercedes is normally so strong. Two years ago this was one of the most boring races of the last five years and Mercedes was so dominant. Now it was one of the most exciting races of the last five years."
Finally, the focus was on the flexible rear and front wings. Red Bull were accused by Mercedes of having a rear wing that moves too much, while they themselves have a front wing that also collapses noticeably.

"There has been a lot of shouting, but we have always followed the rules. We have shown here that our speed is not based on that flexibility of the rear wing," said Horner.
