After the British Grand Prix, former Formula 1 team principal Christian Horner also made an appearance at the Wimbledon tennis tournament. The Briton was also spotted in a photo uploaded by Adrian Newey's wife, Amanda.
Horner was let go by Red Bull Racing and replaced by Laurent Mekies ahead of the 2025 Belgian Grand Prix. Last weekend, he returned to the Formula 1 paddock for the first time since his departure from the Milton Keynes-based outfit.
Aston Martin's Newey also returned to the Formula 1 paddock at Silverstone. Speaking to the press, he confirmed that he was feeling well again after experiencing some health issues.
Now, both Horner and Newey were also spotted at the Wimbledon Championships with their wives. The master designer was joined by former Red Bull Racing driver David Coulthard, while Horner sat in the row in front of them.

Horner once again rumored to join Aston Martin

According to The Daily Mail, after Lawrence Stroll was previously keen to attract Horner but negotiations reportedly fell through at the last moment, the British team is said to have made another attempt to lure him amid its ongoing struggles. Horner's gardening leave period has also now ended after his departure from Red Bull Racing.
At the time, GPblog reached out to Aston Martin regarding the rumors of renewed interest in Horner. "In line with our policy, we do not comment on rumors or speculation," a spokesperson responded.
At Silverstone, Horner was also asked about his future in the competition. He told Sky Sports: "There's so much speculation. One week it's Aston, the next is Alpine, the next is somewhere else. I wish them all well today.

"The main thing is F1 is in such a great place. The racing has been super this year, sitting back and watching it from behind the scenes. The interest in F1 is sky-high. There's so much interest for people who want to get involved in Formula 1, so we will see. I'm on no rush."

Newey makes surprise new Red Bull appearance in his visionary hypercar

Meanwhile, Newey is set to make another appearance with Red Bull. The current Aston Martin team principal will drive the RB17 hypercar at the Goodwood Festival of Speed.
The master designer will not be the only person driving the RB17 hypercar. He will be joined by current Red Bull Racing driver Isack Hadjar, reserve driver Yuki Tsunoda, and Red Bull's F1 Academy talent, Alisha Palmowski.
