Honda has unveiled the silhouette of the power unit set to make its debut in the AMR26 next season.
With its successful partnership with Red Bull — which delivered Max Verstappen’s first world title and powered the entire ground-effect era — now at an end, the Japanese manufacturer is ready to link up with Aston Martin in what it hopes will prove to be an equally winning alliance.
The first Aston Martin–Honda car will be unveiled to the public on 9 February, with Fernando Alonso and Lance Stroll set to take to the track for pre-season testing in Barcelona later in the month.
Speaking at the 2026 Tokyo Motor Show, Honda HRC president Koji Watanabe said: “From 2026, a new era for Honda F1 will begin with the Aston Martin Aramco F1 Team. At the end of this month, the first joint test will take place in Barcelona.

“Today, we are pleased to announce the sound and silhouette of the new power unit under development. Both F1 and SUPER GT will enter a new era under the new structure. Thank you for your continued support.”
