Honda CEO: "I want to win the championship with Red Bull next year!"

Honda CEO Takahiro Hachigo wants to win the Formula 1 championship with Red Bull Racing next season. Honda have had a really solid season but will still need to develop if they are to match the power and reliability of Mercedes and Ferrari.

"After our return to Formula 1 in 2015, we had four difficult years. That hurt us a lot," said Hachigo. "This year we won our first victory at the Austrian Grand Prix. I am really very happy with this result. In Germany, another victory was added, while Kvyat managed to become third there."

Hachigo is grateful for the fans support over the years

"We are very grateful for your support. During the Japanese GP, Naoki Yamamoto was allowed to participate in a free practice session, a great moment for the whole of Japan," said the Japanese, who concludes with a statement demonstrating ambition. "I want to win the championship with Red Bull next year!"

Honda will need to invest a lot of money and time to develop a power unit capable of matching their goals.
