Lewis Hamilton will be starting from the third row of the grid tomorrow for the Japanese Grand Prix but is still hoping for a strong result in the race.
"It [the result] depends on the conditions we have," Hamilton explained to Sky Sports, "we didn't look too bad yesterday in the wet conditions and we should be closer than today. We're hoping for a better result."

Hope there, but reality more in the mind of Hamilton

Despite hoping for a strong result, the Brit is still aware of what has gone wrong this weekend and knows that certain things are out of reach. When asked about if a win was possible, he stated: "That's a reach. Those guys are nine-tenths ahead and you don't go from nine-tenths behind to winning a race."
To finish, Hamilton looked on the positive side of things, whilst also stating that, "we are losing quite a bit of speed on the straights. The car is feeling really good everywhere else throughout the course of the lap, many laps were good and I generally didn't have an issue. We were just losing five to six-tenths on the straights."
