Hamilton expects strong opposition from Verstappen and Ricciardo in 2021

Lewis Hamilton is still officially out of contract, but the Briton has already spoken out about his big rivals in 2021. He hopes to compete with Max Verstappen and Daniel Ricciardo.

It seems a matter of time until Hamilton signs with Mercedes, but until then the seven-time world champion is still without a seat in Formula 1. Nevertheless, he has already spoken out about his most formidable opponents for 2021.

"I was very happy to see McLaren so close and with the Mercedes engine this year they can be even more competitive", Hamilton said according to Express. McLaren have bolstered themselves with the services of Daniel Ricciardo in 2021, from whom Hamilton expects stiff opposition.

"It was great to see that they had such a strong car at the end of the year, so maybe they can fight with us this year. That could make a fight between three teams for the title. I think that would be great for the fans to see", concludes Hamilton. He expects Red Bull Racing and Max Verstappen to give Mercedes a hard time too.
