The British driver, speaking to the media following his outing, stated that he gave it everything before ultimately conceding that the car’s pace wasn’t where they expected it to be.
He said, “It’s not for lack of trying. The team thought we were a lot faster than we are. Gave it everything, and that’s ultimately what matters most. We just weren’t quick enough.”

Speaking further about whether the team was moving in the right direction for the weekend despite his result.
The Briton explained:“It’s hard to say that when you’re out in Q2, but I do feel like, you know, we’re working hard. There’s not really much more I can do. It is what it is.”
Hamilton failed to advance past SQ2, clocking a time only quick enough for 11th place. The seven-time world champion also earned a visit to the stewards at Interlagos following a double yellow flag infringement.

Hamilton ahead of the Sprint race

The Ferrari driver was with little optimism about turning his fortunes around for the Sprint at the Sao Paulo race. Sharing his thoughts with the media.
He continued: “I’m 11th now, so I just have to have some fun from there. I think at this point it’s literally just about having fun. It’s not been going well on my side this year, and yeah, I just have to enjoy it wherever I am — that’s all I can do.”
