Hamilton shares first photos with new puppy Halo: 'Resting, restoring, recharging'

After a rather positive first half of the season, during which he won his first Grand Prix with Ferrari in Barcelona, despite making some mistakes in the later rounds, he sits second in the drivers' standings behind Mercedes' Kimi Antonelli and ahead of George Russell.

Hamilton is now gearing up for the second half of the season, he shared on social media. He wrote: "Resting, restoring, recharging."

In this post, Hamilton shared his first photos with his new puppy, Halo. She is a golden retriever who was flown to Los Angeles a couple of weeks ago. She will have the same trainer as Roscoe and Coco, Kirstin McMillan. Hamilton shared new photos with Kim Kardashian as well.

Emerson Fittipaldi could relate to Hamilton during the previous season, and the former two-time world champion is happy to see the Ferrari driver perform better in 2026.

The Brazilian understood what Hamilton went through last year, he explained to F1.com. He said: "I was so happy to see Lewis and Ferrari going fast. I remember last year… it happened to me in IndyCar, and in F1, when you get older people start saying, ‘Well, he cannot drive’, and everybody last year criticized Lewis. ‘He cannot beat Leclerc, he’s too old’.

After the Hungarian Grand Prix, Hamilton also vowed to receive less penalties. He sees one solution: "I'll work hard to try and come back. There's still a lot of positives to take. I'm going to try and make sure I don't give them any reason to penalize me."
