Lewis Hamilton suffered an early exit during sprint qualifying at the Brazilian Grand Prix after teammate Charles Leclerc spun out, bringing out the yellow flags. The seven-time world champion could only set the 11th fastest time of the session, resulting in him being knocked out of SQ2 for the second season in a row.
Hamilton was unable to make it to the line before the chequered flag fell as
Ferrari misjudged their timing, and Leclerc's spin that brought out the double yellow flags also affected others at
Interlagos.

Hamilton may also visit the stewards after he was noted for a yellow flag infringement due to his teammate's spin at the end of SQ2.
