Toto Wolff claims Lewis Hamilton’s new contract is “as good as done” despite saying it has been close since pre-season.
Wolff wanted to get the deal done before the season got underway but a deal is yet to be surfaced.
“It is as good as done,” Toto said.
“We are absolutely on the same wavelength - a contract like this is over 100 pages - all that has to be done first.”
Germany’s Sports Bild has reported that Hamilton’s contract will cover him for three more years at Mercedes.

During these three years, they claim he’ll earn $180 million.
Arriving in Bahrain and Wolff presented an update on the issue that cost Hamilton the race win in Australia.
“We made sure we understood what went wrong and that it cannot be repeated in a similar way in the future.”
