During the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix, there was a lot of confusion and chaos at the restart when the FIA negotiated with Red Bull about the starting position of Max Verstappen. During and after the race, the stewards also handed out penalties to Max Verstappen. Timo Glock doesn't think the FIA want to interfere too much in the championship.
According to Glock, the FIA is partly responsible for all the chaos that ensued during the race. The German analyst sees that the race management does not want to interfere in the championship.
"It is clear to me that the FIA does not want to interfere in the championship fight at all with a wrong decision. This is one of the toughest title fights we have seen in a long time", Glock told Sky Germany.

FIA wants to distribute cards fairly

Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton leave for Abu Dhabi with the same number of points, so the tension will be there until the very last moment. That's exactly what the FIA had in mind, according to Glock.

"They just want to keep the tension as long as possible. If you had decided aggressively in one direction, the championship train would have left. They're all keeping out of it and saying, 'Come on, let's see how we divide the cards fairly from left to right, so we can all see another exciting championship battle.' It can't end up being that", the German ends.
