Pierre Gasly is looking forward to the engine upgrade that is set to be introduced to his Toro Rosso car next weekend at the Canadian Grand Prix.
Frenchman Gasly secured his second points finish of the season with a solid seventh place in Monaco on Sunday, taking his tally to a strong 18 for the season.
The 22-year old managed to hold off Nico Hulkenberg and Max Verstappen as they were on his tail during the latter stages of the race, a mature performance for someone who has only started 11 Formula One races.
On another track however, he may not have been able to keep them at bay due to his underpowered Honda engine. It will come as a relief to Toro Rosso and their drivers.
Gasly said: “I’ll wait until FP1 to see exactly on the computer what the difference is.

“I’ve learned in F1 it is better to wait and see until you put on the new part, because sometimes it doesn’t work as well as you expect.
“It can only go in the right direction I think. Really, excited about this upgrade, I think we did a good step this weekend.
“Monaco is a special track, but I hope we can carry that pace in the coming races.”
