Gasly 'not afraid' for next season

Pierre Gasly is ready for a competitive season in a competitive car.

Gasly has said that he is not worried about driving alongside Max Verstappen next season. The French driver replaces Daniel Ricciardo, who many believe left the team because they are building around the Dutch driver.

"I am not afraid," said Gasly to Infosport.

"But I will also be part of the team. I am not like Daniel and not like Max. I have my own personality. I need time to take my place in the team," he added.

"I have always wanted to be world champion. I have a lot to learn, but this year I also learned a lot. I came closer to my dream," he added.

Gasly will be hoping that he can establish himself as Verstappen's equal and not become a number two driver.
