Pierre Gasly has emphasised the challenge the drivers face to secure a good lap at the Monaco Grand Prix has he looks to build on his improved form since the Chinese Grand Prix.
Gasly struggled during the early parts of the season, as he failed to make it to Q3 at the opening two races of the season, but he has since improved securing two P6 finishes in China and Spain. Last season, the then Toro Rosso driver finished in seventh in Monte Carlo as well as making it to Q3.
Speaking to Mobil 1 The Grid, Gasly reflected on his first Monaco GP but admitted it will be hard to put together a “perfect lap”.
“The GP last year for my first Monaco GP in Formula 1, scoring points there was something amazing really was a special weekend for all my family,” Gasly said.
“Of course it is part of France so I had a lot of support from all my family my brothers came down.

“It’s a lot tougher to do the perfect lap in Monaco.
“The risks you are going to have to take, the consequences are a lot bigger compared to other circuits where you can probably exit 10cm wider on the exit kerb.
“In Monaco, 10cm wider and you’re in the wall.
