Pierre Gasly is preparing for the Spanish Grand Prix, but secretly he is already looking forward to the race weekend in his home country. The Frenchman will drive at the Circuit Paul Ricard in mid-July and it might be for the last time. The race is under pressure.
With the growing interest in Formula 1, there are also more racetracks that are interested in welcoming the motorsport class. This has consequences for a number of other circuits, who have to fear for their place on the calendar.

Gasly hopes to retain GP France

France is one of the countries for which this applies. The contract with Formula 1 expires at the end of the season and Gasly fears that there will be no agreement for a new term. Nevertheless, the AlphaTauri driver continues to do his best behind the scenes to still get it done.
"It’s a big concern," Gasly let it be known honestly in an interview with Motorsportweek.com. "Obviously I’m involved in the talks, I know what’s the current situation and obviously I’ll do anything which is in my hands and power to support them."
