Franz Tost: Formula 1 should reduce downforce by 40-50%

The aerodynamics on the cars for 2019 is taking the majority of the attention during this winter break. Will the changes work? Will the new front wing help or hinder the problems more? According to Franz Tost, the men in charge should reduce downforce to ensure races are more exciting.
The Toro Rosso boss is looking forward to the changes set to hit Formula 1 this year but believes more must be done to achieve the aims.
"The FIA and FOM know exactly what to do. With Ross Brawn and Pat Symonds there are enough experienced people in the house," says Tost tells Motorsport-Total.
If Formula 1 was to listen to Tost, then we'd see an increase in straight-line speed and longer braking zones. And is likely to bring more overtaking. What do you think of the idea? Let us know in the comments!
