Formula 1 and Hasbro have announced an F1 version of the popular game, Monopoly. This marks another step in F1’s global expansion.
Monopoly is a well-known board game but now F1 fans can find a new version with a twist. Instead of the usual silver playing pieces, such as the hat, dog, and shoe, fans will find F1-related tokens. All 11 teams will be represented in the game with 11 cars as the new playing pieces. In addition, drivers’ helmets will also be available as playing pieces.
F1 describes this expansion as a way for fans to connect with the sport ‘beyond the track’.
While the board game is set up similarly, instead of houses and properties, there are 24 tracks around the board. The game includes all 24 races from the 2026 Formula 1 calendar.
Coined as the ‘Monopoly Grand Prix’, there are two ways to win this new game. The first way is to be the fastest player to finish the game. This player will win the Drivers’ Championship. The second way is to be the player with the most points at the end of the game. This player will win the Constructors’ Championship.

Putting a spin on Chance and Community Chest cards, players will draw cards featuring real-life race scenarios, such as completing pit stops. In real life, drivers don’t get an advantage for their home races, but in F1 Monopoly, that is one of the Community Chest cards you can draw.

F1's strategic expansion into games

In the press release, Emily Prazer, the Chief Commercial Officer of Formula 1, said, “Monopoly is one of the most iconic and best-loved board games in the world, so we’re thrilled to bring a Formula 1 twist to such a classic. This edition captures the excitement and competitiveness of the sport in a fun, accessible way, and we’re confident fans of all ages will love going head-to-head with their friends and family when they take to the grid and compete in the Monopoly GRAND PRIX.”
President of Toy and Games at Hasbro, Billy Lagor, added: “Formula 1 is one of the most iconic sports properties in the world, and we’re excited to bring the adrenaline of race day – roaring engines, pit lane drama, and split-second strategy – into a game night experience."

“We’ve reimagined the classic Monopoly experience through the lens of F1: the circuits, the rivalries, the relentless pursuit of the podium to create something that feels authentic to both worlds – a game that F1 fans and Monopoly fans alike can sit down to and immediately feel at home. The collaboration between our teams produced something genuinely special, and I think fans on both sides are going to feel that the moment they open the box.”

F1 Monopoly joins other franchises that have already expanded into Formula 1 fan spaces. In November of 2025, it was announced that Mattel would be releasing F1 Uno Elite.
The classic card game has been turned into a strategic battle with new ‘boosts’, while UNO Elite cards now feature the faces of F1 and reserve drivers. Some cards even feature team principals and driver helmets.
Despite one being from Mattel and one being from Hasbro, both are iconic games being reimagined for F1 fans.
