Following yesterday's qualifying session, there have been changes to the starting grid of the US Grand Prix. What remains the same is that Lando Norris will start from pole position, ahead of his championship rival Max Verstappen.
The two Ferrari drivers will follow the championship contenders this afternoon at the Circuit of the Americas. Then comes Lando Norris' teammate, Oscar Piastri. George Russell originally qualified in sixth position, however, he will start from the pit lane after his crash in Q3.
Therefore, every driver behind the Briton will move a place up on the grid. As a result, Pierre Gasly's Alpine will line up alongside Piastri. Verstappen's teammate, Sergio Perez will start from P9, after he could not set a lap time on Saturday afternoon.
Unlike what was expected, Lewis Hamilton will not start from the pit lane. He orginally finished in P19, however, the seven-time world champion will begin the US Grand Prix from P17, because Guanyu Zhou has a five-place, Liam Lawson has a 60-place grid penalty.
