The final starting grid for the
French Grand Prix contains no major changes. The only real change is that Yuki Tsunoda will not start from 20th and last place, but from the pitlane. After his crash in Q1, he suffered damage to his gearbox and AlphaTauri has decided to not only replace his gearbox but also change the setup.
At the front, it will still be
Max Verstappen and
Lewis Hamilton who will lead the dance at Paul-Ricard. Behind them are
Valtteri Bottas and
Sergio Perez, so it also looks like a direct battle between Mercedes and
Red Bull Racing. The top of the midfield consists of
Carlos Sainz and
Pierre Gasly.
Rounding out the top ten are
Charles Leclerc,
Lando Norris, Fernando Alonso and
Daniel Ricciardo.
Esteban Ocon and
Sebastian Vettel are the first drivers with free choice of tyres. Mick Schumacher will start from 15th place, despite his crash at the end of Q1.
