Ferrari team principal Frederic Vasseur commented on yet another disappointing result for Lewis Hamilton at the Las Vegas GP.
"I don't think that we have to change completely. It's more a matter of putting everything together"

Reacting to Hamilton’s comments, in which he described 2025 as his worst-ever season in Formula 1, the Frenchman said: "It's difficult, but if you have a look at the last couple of races it's a matter of penalty as he was able to be on the podium."
Vasseur also believes that the poor results in recent races are due to factors beyond pure performance, where the Frenchman instead saw a step forward from Hamilton.
"I don't think that we have to change completely. It's more a matter of putting everything together. We are struggling to have a clean weekend. It's not only pure performance. For sure we have to improve on performance, this is clear, but it's more about the way you build up the weekend and how you manage expectations and track operations."

Thanks to the disqualification of both McLarens, Mercedes inherited a double podium, helped by Kimi Antonelli’s impressive recovery, pulling ahead in the championship and securing second place in the Constructors’ standings.
In contrast, Ferrari slipped to fourth and now finds itself chasing Red Bull, which effectively only has Max Verstappen contributing to the points standings.

Hamilton takes ‘zero satisfaction’ from Las Vegas fightback

The seven-time World Champion, despite a strong recovery that saw him climb from last place into the points, admitted he could see nothing positive from the Las Vegas weekend.
The Englishman described it as “a bad weekend” and called the tenth-place finish “the most meaningless” result.
