Great British Athletics legend Sir Mo Farah has backed his fellow countryman Lewis Hamilton to receive a knighthood following his recent World Title win.
Hamilton recently matched Juan Manuel Fangio's tally of five world championships, to put himself only two behind all-time leader Michael Schumacher with seven titles to his name.
Farah, who has won Olympic Gold four times and received a knighthood last November, reckons Lewis deserves more recognition for his exploits and he should be the next athlete to receive the illustrious knighthood.
"If I had to vote then I would definitely vote for him (Hamilton) - for what he has done in sport," Farah told Dubai Eye 103.8FM.
Hamilton would be the third British F1 driver to be knighted with Jackie Stewart and Stirling Moss and Farah doesn't think the Mercedes driver is appreciated enough in his native country.

"I don't think he gets as much credit as he deserves," Farah continued. "He is a great guy - maybe I am saying that because I am biased and he is my friend."
The man himself, has recently claimed that he's not been thinking about the possibility of adding 'Sir' to the front of his name: "Honestly that is really not something that is on my mind, and something I'm not even comtemplating," Hamilton told Crash.
