The Austrian Grand Prix has reportedly signed a major contract extension with Formula One Management (FOM). According to German media, the race at Spielberg, set in the Styrian mountains, will remain on the F1 calendar until 2041.
Motorsport-Total reported on Sunday morning that the Red Bull Ring will remain a staple on the Formula 1 calendar for years to come. According to the German outlet, Red Bull has reached an agreement to extend the current contract, which was set to run until 2030. The race is now expected to stay on the calendar through at least 2041.
This is great news not only for Red Bull, the owner of the Austrian circuit, but also for Formula 1 fans. The Red Bull Ring is one of the most popular tracks, both for those watching at home and for fans attending in person, as it produces great racing under an impressive backdrop.
Miami is the only other current Grand Prix with a contract running as far into the future. Other races with long-term deals include Madrid (until 2035), Qatar (until 2031), and Abu Dhabi (until 2030).

'Orange Army' dominates Red Bull Ring stands year after year

Every year, thousands of Max Verstappen fans travel to the Red Bull Ring in Austria to cheer on their hero at Red Bull's home Grand Prix. It's been a happy hunting ground for the Dutchman, as he has taken five victories in Spielberg over the years.
The race is popular not only among locals but also with international visitors. Over 300,000 people attended the 2024 addition of the race, and it's clear to see why the contract was extended.
The 2025 edition takes place today, with Lando Norris starting the race on pole. Second-placed Charles Leclerc has stated that he will do 'everything' to bring Ferrari their first victory of the 2025 season. See his full statement by clicking here.
