F1 Today | Russell vs. Verstappen part two. while Norris crashes during Grand Prix

In the last few laps of the Canadian Grand Prix, the action suddenly picked up. This was due to the fact that Lando Norris got within DRS of Oscar Piastri. In front of the two McLarens was rookie Kimi Antonelli. Piastri had DRS on the rookie, making it an intense moment. Norris misjudged the gap between his teammate and the wall. This simple mistake caused him to crash, bringing out a safety car and ending his race.

During the aformentioned safety car, Verstappen and Russell nearly collided together. Verstappen claims that Russell agressively braked while Russell claims that Verstappen was attempting an overtake under safety car conditions.

Shortly after the race, Red Bull Racing lodged two protests against the Briton for his behaviour during the last few laps under the safety car.
