Steiner points to possible 'opposite effect' on Verstappen

Max Verstappen recently became the father of a daughter, Lily, together with girlfriend Kelly Piquet. In the run-up to the Miami Grand Prix, the Dutchman was able to spend a few days with his family, as he indicated in a conversation with GPblog in the paddock of the Miami International Autodrome. There, he also stated he does not believe that fatherhood will have any effect on him as a driver.
Steiner, who sat down for an exclusive interview with GPblog, feels exactly the same way. “First of all, congratulations obviously to Max,” he begins. “I don't think it will affect his life. Max will be Max. Obviously, he will spend time with his family, but he can manage that, I think. It's not a problem. He will not be letting go on racing or anything.”

Ford shares new update on Red Bull Powertrains project

Ford’s collaboration with Red Bull Powertrains remains on track for its 2026 Formula 1 debut, according to Mark Rushbrook, global head of Ford Performance Motorsports. Despite murmurs suggesting development troubles, Rushbrook clarified to Motorsport.com that the project is progressing as planned.
Ford is not meeting all the reliability goals yet, but according to Rushbrook, that is the reality of every program. Every time more power is found, the reliability must be tested again. This way, manufacturers can continuously push the limits. See his full statement by clicking the link above.

Aston Martin's already benefitting from signings from title contending teams

Aston Martin was not expected to challenge the top teams as early as 2025. 2026 was always the goal with the British racing green coloured team forming an exclusive partnership with future engine supplier Honda, and with design guru, Adrian Newey, working his magic to premiere next year's regulation reset.
However, this does not mean that the British designer has not had an impact already in the team operated by CEO and team principal Andy Cowell. Alonso, in conversation with GPblog, among others, reveals this to be quite the opposite.
"Yes, I think so. I think there is a better understanding of where we are lacking capabilities and where we are behind some of the top teams," said the Spaniard.
