Mick Schumacher has been praised by four-time Formula 1 world champion Sebastian Vettel as the 26-year-old targets F1 return. After two seasons with Haas in 2021 and 2022, there still remains a small opening for the son of the legendary Michael Schumacher in the future.
Mick Schumacher’s time in the premier class came to an end prematurely. After losing his seat with the American team, he made the switch to the World Endurance Championship (WEC) in 2024 with Alpine after a brief period as Mercedes' test and reserve driver. The German has been making his mark in the WEC and scored a podium this weekend at Spa.
According to four-time world champion Sebastian Vettel, a return to Formula 1 is still possible for Mick Schumacher. Vettel, known for his guidance and support of younger drivers, offers valuable advice with his vast experience in F1. The German won 53 races in his illustrious career. He revealed to Sport.de that he remains in contact with Schumacher regularly.

"We of course stay in touch and I have also seen how his time in Formula 1 ended. I'm hoping he gets another chance, because I think he can definitely keep up with the rest," praised the four-time Red Bull world champion.
With the American manufacturer preparing to enter Formula 1, a spot on the grid could open up for the young German—after all, the team will need two drivers, but there are many touted to fill those seats, including Sergio Perez.

What do you think? Will Schumacher return to F1?
