Ahead of the Japanese GP, the Ferrari driver took the opportunity to travel to the country together with Kim Kardashian, who has been widely rumored for months to be his partner.

The British driver had a successful past week, after scoring his first Grand Prix podium with Ferrari at the Chinese Grand Prix, and the 'F1' movie, which was also co-produced by him, won an Oscar at the 98th Academy Awards.

Earlier this week, Hamilton visited the opening of the Ferrari Style flagship store in London as well.

After winning NLS2 on Saturday afternoon alongside Daniel Juncadella and Jules Gounon, Max Verstappen's #3 car was disqualified for using more tyre sets than allowed.

Winward Racing team principal Christian Hohenadel said: "The disqualification hurts. Unfortunately, a mistake was made within the team that forced race control to retroactively disqualify the winning car. For us, this was our first outing as a Mercedes-AMG Performance team on the Nürburgring Nordschleife.
