Former Haas team principal Guenther Steiner believes Charles Leclerc will still beat Lewis Hamilton despite his podium finish in China. "Lewis is a seven-time world champion. Charles, zero. So he's more hungry, more appetite"
- Guenther SteinerThe seven-time world champion finally secured his first podium in
Ferrari colours in Shanghai, drawing level after Charles Leclerc’s third-place finish in Melbourne.
Speaking on the Red Flags podcast, Steiner believes Leclerc has age on his side, something Hamilton inevitably lacks, as well as greater hunger to win, given he has yet to secure a
Formula 1 title.
"I think what Charles has got on his side is his age. It's very close, but in the end, I think Charles will beat Lewis. If Lewis would be 10 years younger, maybe that would be something different. Also, Lewis is a seven-time world champion. Charles, zero. So he's more hungry, more appetite."
