F1 teams' updates are in! What McLaren and Red Bull hope will give them the edge in Monaco

The F1 Monaco Grand Prix is a singular race, with a very unique layout, as such teams updates are often brought to ensure their cars and perform at the narrow, twisty and bumpy track. These are the bits the F1 teams will hope help them perform at the principality.

McLaren

The current leaders of the championship, McLaren, have brought five upgrades total. It is no secret that the MCL39 is the car that is most efficient when it comes to downforce as such the team have brought two different rear wing package specs: a medium downforce one, and a medium-high downforce one, which they will test during practice to see which one will be the most effective at the principality.
Overall 4 upgrades are track specific with one cooling-related upgrade being for performance.

Ferrari brings 2024 wings 

For the Scuderia, who've been having a very tough season up to now, no performance related upgrades have been brought to Monaco. The team have instead opted for a full track specific package with the top and low bits of the rear wing being of a spec carried over from their 2024 season's car, the SF-24.

Red Bull Racing

At Red Bull Racing a rear wing and beam wing apckage to attain higher and more efficient aerodynamic loads has been brought to help the RB21 achieve greater stability around what could be a tough Grand Prix weekend for the Austrians' car otherwise.
The Milton Keynes-based team has also brought a revised front suspension to achieve greater cooling effects and a revised front suspension whishbone fairing to ensure a greater steering lock can be achieved, necessary to circum-navigate the narrow track, with this last one being track specific.
Mercedes has brought no upgrades to the Monaco Grand Prix.
