Kevin Magnussen will start in pole position during the sprint race of the Brazilian Grand Prix. However, it will not be easy for the Dane to hold that position until the end, as a big challenge awaits him with Max Verstappen and George Russell behind him.

LIVEBLOG | The sprint race for the 2022 Brazilian Grand Prix

During the sprint race, drivers will have two thoughts in their heads. On the one hand, they will do their best to get as many points as possible for the team, while on the other, they want to leave their car in one piece for the race and will therefore take little risk.
Verstappen is therefore expected to immediately try to pass Magnussen on the first lap. The Dutchman already showed during the first free practice and qualifying that his car performs well on the track, so he will look to the sprint race with confidence.

Lewis Hamilton, Sergio Perez and Charles Leclerc have some ground to make up. Indeed, the drivers start from eighth, ninth and 10th positions respectively, so they will be working hard to make up some positions. Carlos Sainz starts from P5, but will face a five-place grid penalty in the race on Sunday. This liveblog will be completed in English.
