Verstappen on orange madness in Austria: 'It never gets used I guess'

Tens of thousands of Max Verstappen fans packed the car, train or plane to watch their hero race at the Austrian Grand Prix. Verstappen himself says the orange craze is unique in Formula 1. He says in an interview with Viaplay that he likes the fact that so many Dutch people are coming.

Verstappen is asked if he will ever get used to the orange sea of Dutch people in the stands at the Red Bull Ring. "No, not necessarily. I love the fact that so many Dutch people come from there to Austria to watch me drive. It's very special always. This track doesn't have a lot of corners but you can see a lot," said the reigning world champion.

The Dutchman is hardly troubled by the competition in the world championship standings. The reigning world champion is streets ahead of number two, Red Bull teammate Sergio Perez.
