While Charles Leclerc celebrated pole position, it was a disappointing Saturday for Lewis Hamilton. The British driver was eliminated in Q2, as he finished in P12. Talking to GPblog among others, the seven-time world champion was disappointed.
"Just not good," the driver began after qualifying. "Nothing to do with the car," he confirmed when asked whether the problems were related to the brakes.
"I don't think anything can help me right now," Hamilton continued.
Hamilton also explained he never felt confident once since the first sessions took place on Friday. "Not once this weekend, no. All weekend [the same struggle]."
Hamilton congratulates Leclerc
Meanwhile, Charles Leclerc managed to top an extremely close Q3 session at the
Hungaroring.
About the Monegasque driver's result, Hamilton said: "It’s amazing results. for the team. Clearly the car is capable of being on pole. Big congrats to Charles and to the team."
