MotoGP Friday Practice Results: Ogura goes top as Marquez crashes again

The first day of the Czech Grand Prix weekend has finished with the all-important Q2 places decided.
Championship leader Marco Bezzecchi smashed the all-time lap record with a 1:52.275, almost a full second faster than Bagnaia's 2025 benchmark. The record didn't last long, though, as Pedro Acosta quickly usurped Bezzecchi at the top of the timing sheets by just a few thousandths of a second.
After suffering his second crash of the day at the start of the session, Marc Marquez soon went top with a 1:51.988. Japan's Ai Ogura had a very solid showing for Trakchouse and was just 0.010 off the pace.
Next, it was Fabio Di Giannantonio who set the fastest time by a tiny margin once again, but Bezzecchi regained the record he had set earlier in the day with a 1:51.826, but it didn't last for long as Ogura went top right at the end of the session.
Elswhere, it was a successful session for Diogo Morerira and Fermin Aldeguer who scraped though, while the big shock elimination was Jorge Martin who only just missed out on Q2.
