Di Resta: 'I don’t think too many teammates get on with Ocon'

It is not yet known who will be Esteban Ocon's new teammate at Alpine. The Frenchman himself says he has no problems with Pierre Gasly as his teammate, but Paul di Resta has his doubts about the duo.
Ocon and Gasly are not the best of mates. In their youth, the two were not friends and that is still not the case. With Fernando Alonso set to move to Aston Martin in 2023, a spot at Alpine has become available. The team actually wanted to bring in Oscar Piastri, but the young driver has chosen to make the switch to McLaren.

Gasly and Ocon as teammates?

Ocon himself has already indicated that he prefers Mick Schumacher to replace the Spaniard, but there have been rumours for a while now that Gasly could be the one to win the seat. AlphaTauri and Helmut Marko would be willing to let the Frenchman go. Ocon thinks he has a good relationship with Gasly and would have no problem working with his fellow Alpine driver. Paul di Resta, however, is not convinced.
"I don’t think too many teammates get on with Ocon, to be honest. You heard Fernando on the radio. They work together on track but off it? He can be quite difficult. Sergio Perez had the same issue", the former Formula One driver says on Sky Sports.
