De Vries in F1 next year? New team added to rumor mill!

The rumours have been doing the rounds more and more lately: it is likely that next season, besides Max Verstappen, there will be another Dutchman on the grid in Formula 1. Nyck de Vries, who currently works for Mercedes in Formula E, was present at last week's race in Hungary and was seen several times. His name has already been linked with Williams, who also drives with Mercedes engines. Now, however, another team is in the running for De Vries.

At least, if we are to believe Joe Saward. On his blog he writes: "One man who was much in evidence in the paddock in Budapest was Nyck de Vries, the Mercedes Formula E driver and an F1 reserve. He would like to drive at a Mercedes team and there is talk of him as a possible Williams driver."

However, according to Saward, the Dutchman was also seen at the offices of Aston Martin: "But it could also be seen in Hungary that he was in a serious way talking to Aston Martin people."

At Aston Martin, there will be another big announcement during the summer break in any case, Saward tells us: "I did hear whispers that there might be some big excitement at Aston Martin during the summer break, but I don't know more - although the source was good. Otherwise, I wouldn't mention it..." Could it be that this is Nyck de Vries' announcement?
