Damon Hill Warns Ricciardo

Sky Sports Damon Hill tells Daniel Ricciardo he shouldn’t leave himself “high and dry” in the hunt for a new contract.

Ricciardo’s current Red Bull deal terminates at the end of the 2018 season.

Daniel told reporters in the Australian Grand Prix press conference he was already frustrated by the noise about his contract.

The 1996 World Champion, Damon Hill suggested: “If you don’t know what your future is you can’t concentrate on the racing.

“It is not the ideal situation. It is a very tricky thing because in Formula 1 you can find yourself high and dry in a blink of an eye. I should know.

“It is difficult. I think he could do no worse than go and speak to Mark Webber and get some advice.”
