Christian Horner suggests Renault need to improve their engine immediately after identifying a common denominator in all Renault powered cars.
A P4 and P6 finish was all that Red Bull could grasp whilst in Australia.
Looking ahead to the next couple of races in Bahrain and China, Horner had one major concern that he believes is hampering his team.
“You’ve only got to look at the speed trap where all Renault engines were grouped together with varying amounts of downforce on the car, so that’s where we need to make progress.
“There are bits in the pipeline. That’s more of a question for Renault for me because they’re not divulging everything they’re up to, but it’s certainly something we’re pushing for.”
Ahead of further changes, Horner made another suggestion.
“One could say perhaps you should have the same engine mode, like in parc firm when the cars leave for qualifying - maybe the engine modes should be the same from the moment you leave the garage from the end of the Grand Prix.”
