Cadillac leaves fans guessing with cryptic social media message

This year, Cadillac enters Formula 1 as the 11th team on the grid. Next year, Valtteri Bottas and Sergio Perez will first drive for the American team, while Colton Herta will be a test driver and also compete in Formula 2.

Recently, the team shared a new cryptic post on social media.

The date on the bottom left corner suggests that the announcement will be made in a couple of days' time, on 5 January.

The post shows an image of a close-up of a cat's eye. Toward the bottom of the eye, the number 24 is present alongside the Cadillac logo.

The caption says, "Reflections of the future," while Cadillac's brand account also added, "Focused on the future."

Guanyu Zhou, who spent the past season as Ferrari's reserve driver, has left the Scuderia, the team announced a day ago.

The Chinese driver did use the number 24 during as a full-time driver in Formula 1. Moreover, he has experience with Ferrari power units, which will be used by the American outfit until the 2028 season.
