Max Verstappen took P1 for FP1 at the Canadian Grand Prix, as McLaren drivers Lando Norris placing P7 and Oscar Piastri in P14 dwindledin the order. 'A solid start' for Red Bull sees team principal Christian Horner.

Hello 2023 F1 season, is that you?

A result no one really expected, McLaren struggling at the back of the midfield, with Max Verstappen topping the timesheets. A positive result for the Austrian team, of course, sees Horner whils speaking to the Sky Sports TV cameras.
"A solid start. The track will ramp up a lot. There's always a lot of track evolution. Max seemed pretty happy and a solid session for Yuki as well."
As for Yuki Tsunoda, the man currently in charge of the cockpit of the second Red Bull finished the session 10 places behind his teammate.
"Yuki did a TPC test in Barcelona after the Spanish Grand Prix and that was really good for him. Hopefully he can build his confidence back here," concluded Horner who is currently sidelined by Red Bull from signing drivers' contracts after the Sergio Perez debacle last year.
