Now that the factory in Maranello has been closed for some time due to the coronavirus outbreak, Ferrari's crew has been separated for a long time while waiting for it to be safe again to continue working. Team principal Mattia Binotto revealed he still speaks to his two drivers Sebastian Vettel and Charles Leclerc almost every day.
All teams have closed down respective factories since earlier this week, but at Ferrari there have been problems for some time now. The province of Modena, in which Maranello is located, was and is one of the worst affected areas in Italy. 14 provinces, including Modena, were locked down, making travel impossible.
Ferrari was given special permission to travel to Melbourne, but as we now know, the Australian Grand Prix was eventually cancelled.
Now that the majority of the grid is in self-isolation, Binotto informs Sky Italia that he's still in contact with his employees.
"I speak to the drivers almost daily," vertelt de 50-jaar oude Italiaan.

"We talk on the phone and see each other through video calls."
Stories recently came out that Vettel was offered a new contract by Ferrari, but Binotto didn't comment.
