Baku GP starts with two back-of-the-grid penalties already issued

Alonso will take a 25-place grid penalty at the Baku Grand Prix after Aston Martin went beyond the permitted allocation for several power unit components on his AMR26. His fifth internal combustion engine and fifth turbocharger each triggered a 10-place penalty while his ninth power unit ancillary component added another five places. That leaves Alonso with a total penalty of 25 grid places.

Stroll will also be hit with a grid penalty in Baku. The Canadian has picked up a 20-place sanction after Aston Martin exceeded the allocation for his sixth turbocharger, seventh energy store, sixth control electronics unit and eighth power unit ancillary component. Each additional component resulted in a five-place penalty, taking Stroll's total to 20 places.
