Lewis Hamilton has not had the the best of luck at the Austrian Grand Prix, or this season in general for that matter. Now his woes have once again compiled into something that could potentially derail his race weekend in Spielberg.
In the first part of FP2 at the Red Bull Ring, Andrea Kimi Antonelli was on a push lap, as Hamilton went slow between Turns 3 and 4. The Briton unaware of the Italian's presence due to potential miscomunication from the pitwall failed to leave room for the Italian to take the normal racing line causing him to back off.

Hamilton's Austrian GP future hangs in the balance

The incident was noted by the Stewards and will be investigated now that the session is over. Should he be found guilty simply of impeding, according to the FIA's penalty guidelines, he will be issued a warning.
However the Briton may receive a five-places grid penalty should the race offficials find that the incident was indeed dangerous or not.
