Good news for Fernando Alonso and the Spaniard's fans. After he did not appear in the paddock on Thursday in Mexico because of feeling ill, the Spaniard can now return to action on Friday.
Yesterday, Aston Martin announced that Fernando Alonso, who is set for his 400th Grand Prix start in Formula One, has an illness an therefore he will not be present in the paddock. As a result, he also missed FIA's official press conference as well.

Aston Martin confirm Alonso's return

Alonso was scheduled to return on Friday, and Aston Martin have announced that the Spaniard is ready to jump in his car later today in Mexico City. "Fernando Alonso is returning to the paddock today and is due to drive in FP2 as planned," Aston Martin's statement writes.
Among other high-profile driver like Lewis Hamilton and Lando Norris, Alonso will also not compete in FP1. Each driver has to 'give up' their seat once for an inexperienced driver, and the Spaniard's team opted to complete that this weekend with Alonso. Felipe Drugovich will drive for Aston Martin this afternoon in the session at the Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez, while in Abu Dhabi, it was previously confirmed that Jak Crawford will drive Lance Stroll's car.
