Antonelli faces stewards investigation after Hungarian GP qualifying

Max Verstappen's final Q3 run ended with a spin at the final corner, bringing out yellow flags that forced George Russell to abandon his lap and leaving the Mercedes driver stranded in seventh place.

Antonelli, however, still managed to improve his own time despite the yellows, eventually securing fourth on the grid behind polesitter Lando Norris and the two Ferraris. The Italian will appear before the stewards at 18:15 local time to give his account of the incident.

Lewis Hamilton, like Antonelli, also found himself under investigation after qualifying, albeit for a different reason, after allegedly impeding Oscar Piastri during the Australian's final flying lap in Q3. The Ferrari driver has been summoned to the stewards, with his front-row start now potentially under threat pending the outcome of the investigation.
