Early last season, Alpine set itself the goal of competing for wins within 100 Grands Prix. Although the formation is still far from that, Laurent Rossi is confident that his team will succeed.
Talking to Motorsport.com, Alpine's CEO takes Red Bull as an example. The Austrian racing stable also had to build the team from the bottom up, but managed to be very successful in the long run. It resulted in four world titles for Sebastian Vettel and one world title for Max Verstappen.
Rossi is confident that Alpine will succeed in doing the same, as long as it stays the course and continues to look for improvements. At the upcoming Singapore GP, the racing stable will introduce a new floor that should provide a big step in the car's performance.

Alpine focuses on improving car

Although Alpine is trying hard to find a replacement for the departing Fernando Alonso, Rossi knows the car is even more important. After all, according to him, Verstappen cannot gain many places either if he drives one of the lesser cars in Formula 1.

Pierre Gasly seems to be in pole position to switch to Alpine, but to do so AlphaTauri must first attract a replacement. Should this fail, Alpine will have to look at the other candidates and Nyck de Vries may come into the picture.
